Surprise!

Dear Family,
   Surprise!  We got our blog in before our week was up!
   Surprise!  The only real news we have was a SURPRISE visit last weekend from Heidi, Cody, and Timothy.  We should have taken pictures instead of playing cards…well, maybe!  We went into Bend to meet Wyatt and McKenzie for lunch on Wyatt’s break from work, only to walk into the little Mongolian Barbecue place next door to his work and see the CHT Foltz crew.  After recovering from the shock, we spent 3½ lovely days enjoying family here.  Heidi bought a bike, and now the CHT Foltz crew has another fun activity to do together, which they did today.
   As for Tom and me, we’re getting back into the school year routine.  This year I’m getting up an hour earlier to add daily exercise to the schedule…sharing this commitment with you will help me keep it up.  Thanks to my little tablet and Netflix, I can tolerate it.  We’re still going up to the prison on Sundays and Wednesday nights as part of our church calling.  Tom will be teaching some hunter education classes, too, shortly.  I’d comment on what our kids are doing, but they’ll soon add their own posts for you to read. 
   We miss being with you for Sunday family dinners and other events.  We are looking forward to seeing Jamie at the end of the month when she’s “rotating” through Portland.  But as Mom always said, “We’re Wonderful!”
